Industrial Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency. This role supports production operations by performing preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
Diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and production equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers as needed.
Conduct routine inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to maximize equipment performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems preferred.
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
Comfortable working around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment.
Preferred Skills
PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
VFD and motor control experience
Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V
Pneumatics and hydraulics
Conveyor and packaging equipment maintenance
Welding and fabrication
CMMS experience
