A cosmetic engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the development and production of high-performance color cosmetics, powders, and skincare products. Committed to quality, innovation, and regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional products to leading beauty brands is seeking an experienced Compounder to join their team in Chatsworth.

Summary: The Compounder is responsible for accurately weighing, dispensing, and blending raw materials according to approved batch records while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and all company safety standards. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality cosmetic products in a fast-paced FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Weigh and dispense raw materials according to approved batch records and manufacturing instructions.
• Operate, monitor, and clean mixing and compounding equipment, including tanks, kettles, homogenizers, and blending systems.
• Accurately complete manufacturing documentation in real time while adhering to ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
• Follow cGMP, GDP, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Verify raw materials and batch information prior to production.
• Monitor mixing processes and report any equipment or process deviations.
• Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean and organized production environment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient production and product quality.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of cosmetic compounding experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience weighing, dispensing, and compounding raw materials for cosmetic products.
• 2+ years of experience operating mixing, blending, or compounding equipment.
• Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Ability to accurately follow batch records and manufacturing instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211.
• Familiarity with Cosmetic GMP guidelines (ISO 22716).
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
