Community Manager - Affordable Housing

Location: Clarkston, WA
Pay: 25.15/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Community Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Community Manager to oversee daily operations of an affordable housing community. This position is ideal for someone with property management experience who enjoys working with residents, maintaining occupancy, coordinating property operations, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, visitors, and community partners
• Manage resident communications, rent collection, notices, and lease compliance
• Respond to resident concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Process applications, certifications, recertifications, and move-in documentation
• Maintain occupancy goals, waitlists, and resident records
• Coordinate maintenance requests and property upkeep
• Monitor property conditions, common areas, and vendor services
• Complete reports, documentation, and compliance-related paperwork
• Work closely with housing, service, and support staff to meet resident needs
• Support daily office operations and property management activities

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum two years of property management experience
• Multi-family housing experience preferred
• Affordable housing, HUD, USDA/RD, or LIHTC experience preferred
• Experience supervising staff preferred
• Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and property management software
• Valid Driver's License required
• Ability to obtain applicable housing certification within one year of hire

Physical Requirements

• Regular sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs
• Frequently lift up to 20 lbs
• Occasional bending, kneeling, reaching, and carrying
• Ability to work between office and property locations as needed
