Job Description

• Prepare, cook, assemble, and serve food and beverages according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and safe food handling procedures.
• Maintain proper portion control, food temperatures, and quality presentation standards.
• Provide courteous, professional, and efficient customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Accurately operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle cash according to established procedures.
• Assist with meal service, including setting up serving areas, delivering food, and replenishing food and supplies as needed.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, storage, and work areas, including bussing tables and removing trash.
• Receive, stock, rotate, and organize food, supplies, and inventory according to departmental procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support the efficient daily operation of the hospital cafeteria and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move items, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices or willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and interact effectively with staff and visitors.
• Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Willingness to work various shifts or respond to urgent needs.
