A leader in architectural lighting part of a broader North American network, offering European-designed, high-end, and technical lighting solutions for commercial and residential projects is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to join their team at their Chatsworth location.
Summary: The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping operations, including preparing, scheduling, and tracking outbound shipments.
- Generate and process shipping documentation. (BOLs, packing lists, invoices, export documents)
- Work with carriers and freight forwarders to secure competitive rates and ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update ERP/WMS systems.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and staging of shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Assist with inventory coordination and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate shipping updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Familiarity with freight carriers. (LTL, FTL, parcel, and international shipping)
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or lighting/architectural products industry.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and Incoterms.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
