Delivery Driver / Material Handler

 

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products and materials to customer locations in a timely manner.
• Load, unload, inspect, and secure materials for transport.
• Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures when required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and moving inventory within the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (training or certification may be provided).
• Maintain accurate delivery and inventory records.
• Keep delivery vehicles, warehouse, and work areas clean and organized.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
• Assist with general warehouse duties and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous delivery driving or warehouse/material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating box trucks or commercial delivery vehicles.
• Forklift certification.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory and shipping procedures.
• Familiarity with handheld scanners or inventory management systems.
