Slitter Operator

Located in Middleton, WI

Salary: $20/hour

We are hiring for a Slitter Machine operator with our client, a great manufacturing company on the west side.

 

Responsibilities:

•  Adhere to all company safety guidelines and maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times. In particular, ensure that the slitter to which you are assigned and the areas around it are kept dust free, clean and tidy.
• Use set-up sheets, checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure that the assigned slitter is correctly set-up for each order.
• When necessary, splice material in accordance with the quality standard, ensuring that each splice is identified on the roll and recorded on the ERP computer system.
• Operate the slitter controls to achieve maximum productivity while ensuring that all products meet the  quality standards. If in any doubt, seek guidance from the slitter supervisor. Identify new or better ways to increase throughput or improve SOP.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience in working in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Computer literate.

Schedule: Full-time day shift role

6:30 am to 3:00 pm  Monday through Friday.  No overtime. 

 

Pay: Starting $20.00/hour.
