Job Title: Painter

Position Summary:
A Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing interior and exterior surfaces of residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, and the ability to work safely and efficiently to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and other masking materials.
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Perform minor repairs to drywall, woodwork, and other surfaces before painting.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous painting experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and safety practices.
• Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
