Machine Operator

Located in Waunakee, WI

Salary: $20+/hr

Express is hiring for a Machine Operator (laser, punch, brake) to join a local Waunakee manufacturer. Great opportunity for those who love the gaming industry!

 

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a Mazak CO2 laser cutting machine per specifications and drawings
• Set up and operate a manual/standalone press brake to bend and form sheet metal to precise tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Move between machines/stations as production scheduling requires

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
• Required: Hands-on experience in at least TWO of the following: Industrial CO2 laser, Trumpf TruPunch, Press Brake
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, including bend sequences and angle callouts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or GED (technical/trade school a plus)
• Forklift certification a plus

Preferred Skills

• Experience with all three machine types (laser, punch, brake)
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM or nesting software
• Experience in a job shop or high-mix, low-volume environment
