About the Company
Our customer is an established manufacturer with approximately 40 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. The company produces the distinctive Nu-Strut metal framing system and custom metal products used in the laboratory, glazing, precast, and solar industries.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Material Handler to prepare metal products for shipment. This position requires exceptional precision, accountability, and the ability to follow drawings, photographs, packaging instructions, and inventory procedures exactly.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and compliance with workplace safety rules are essential functions of this position. Unscheduled absences, repeated tardiness, and poor attendance will not be tolerated.
For safety reasons, personal cellular phones, earbuds, headphones, and headsets are strictly prohibited while working or inside active warehouse areas unless specifically authorized by management. Employees observed by warehouse leadership using or wearing a prohibited device will be subject to disciplinary action.
Primary Responsibilities
· Test and inspect materials before packaging.
· Match products to drawings, photographs, pick tickets, and specifications.
· Arrange, label, wrap, and package materials in the required order.
· Clean stainless steel, galvanized iron, and other metal products, ensuring they are free of residue and ready for packaging.
· Pick, pack, stage, and prepare metal products for shipment.
· Verify product quantities, part numbers, finishes, and overall condition.
· Accurately report inventory usage and discrepancies during the picking and packing process.
· Maintain organized materials, work areas, tools, and packaging supplies.
· Safely move and handle metal products using approved material-handling equipment.
· Use of hand tools like grinders and chisels to debur welds.
· Perform additional warehouse and general labor duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Precise attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

· Consistent attendance and punctuality.
· Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Basic English communication skills necessary to understand safety directions, work instructions, labels, drawings, and packaging requirements.
· Previous material-handling, warehouse, metal, forklift, packaging, inventory, hand tools or manufacturing experience is preferred.
· Willingness to interview and complete a job-related, hands-on skills assessment at the customer’s location. Reasonable accommodations are available during the application and assessment process.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Overtime may be available based on business needs, particularly for employees who demonstrate excellent attendance, productivity, accuracy, and dependability.
