Housekeeper – College Dorm

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in a college dormitory setting in Northeast Baltimore. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize dorm rooms, common areas, hallways, bathrooms, and shared living spaces
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas
Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, railings, etc.)
Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to supervisor
Follow all safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals
Adhere to established cleaning schedules and checklists
Maintain confidentiality and respect student privacy while working in residential areas

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping/custodial experience required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25–30 lbs as needed
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
Familiarity with proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Reliable transportation to the Northeast Baltimore location
Must be able to pass a background check
