Thermo Operator - D Shift

Located in Clarksville, TN

Salary: $25.56 / hr.

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is currently seeking reliable and experienced candidates for a Thermo Operator position with a Local Manufacturer of Packaging. This position will pay $25.56 per hour, and the hours are a 2-2-3 Rotating schedule from 6 PM - 6 AM.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain equipment 
• Troubleshoot issues
• Complete start-up and shut-down procedures
• Change over of tooling
• Inspect raw and processed materials for adherence to specifications; reject defective materials
• Segregate waste into appropriate containers
• Complete daily paperwork and computer production reports
• Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Complies with all Company Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Able to lift 50 lbs., carry to 30 pounds; lower up to 30 pounds from a height of 4 feet; push up to 250 pounds using carts or other various tools
• Previous thermoforming or plastic extrusion experience is preferred
• Must have Machine Operating experience of 1 year in a Manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; must have skills to perform the basic technical tasks
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication of whole numbers, fractions, and units of measure. Ability to use rulers, dials, micrometers, and various pieces of measuring equipment accurately within 1/32 or .001 of inch incremental 
• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Capable of physical movements such as bending, stooping, and reaching or climbing stairs
• Capable of standing on concrete for long periods of time
• Able to work in a fast-pace, multi-task environment
• Capable of working in a hot plastic, fumes and dusty, hot/humid in the summer environment
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: ear plugs, safety glasses and foot protection
