We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within the distribution center. The successful candidate will operate various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to facilitate inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

This role is currently not open to students or those who are looking for temporary roles.

Shifts: Monday-Friday ( must be flexible to work all shifts)

• Days 7am 3pm
• Afternoon 3pm - 11pm
• Nights 11pm - 7am

Pay: $21.50-$24/hour + 4% vacation pay

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
• Operate narrow aisle reach trucks safely and efficiently to retrieve, store, and organize inventory within confined warehouse spaces
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
• Assist with order picking processes by selecting products according to specifications and preparing them for shipment
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock and maintaining a clean work environment
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and ensure timely order fulfillment
• Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during operations
• Operate clamp trucks for handling specific types of loads requiring specialized gripping mechanisms

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, and valid Forklift license for Reach, Counter balance and Order picker
• Must have 2 verifiable forklift references from previous employment
• Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and inventory control
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse work
• Prior experience with order picking and handling various types of warehouse loads is preferred
• This role is not transit accessible so having a car or reliable transportation is required
