Express Employment of Downey is hiring an ASSEMBLER / FABRICATOR for our client in the city of Cudahy, CA

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $25.00 (DOE)

SHIFT: 7:00 to 3:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and requirements for assembly and fabrication.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for shaping materials..
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations.
• Assist in rigging operations as needed and operate forklifts for material handling.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience MIG welding
• Ability to operate a forklift & crane 
• Basic math knowledge (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple fractions)
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues
• Able to layout bolt patterns and hold 90 deg. angles on welded parts
• Ability to use hand tools & power tools
• Blueprints and schematics proficiency
