Salary: 30$-40$ p/hr

JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN – SOLAR INDUSTRY

Pay: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience
Placement Type: Direct hire
Location: Gainesville/Alachua County

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical work on residential and commercial solar installations
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, disconnects, inverters and related equipment
• Read electrical plans, blueprints and project specifications
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems
• Ensure work complies with the National Electrical Code
• Supervise apprentices and unlicensed electricians
• Communicate professionally with customers and project personnel

Required Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician certification
• Residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Strong working knowledge of the NEC
• Ability to read electrical plans and blueprints
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
• Ability to work safely on rooftops and at heights
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel occasionally
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment physical

Solar experience is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong electrical experience and is interested in entering the solar industry.
