Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a stable first-shift opportunity? A Springfield-area manufacturer is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Setup Operator to set up and operate CNC machining centers while producing high-quality precision components in a modern manufacturing environment.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Full-Time

Pay

• $18.00 per hour

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC mills, machining centers, and lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• Enter machine offsets, tooling information, and reference points
• Verify materials and job requirements before production begins
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues to maintain production flow
• Complete production documentation and inspection records
• Maintain quality standards and safe work practices

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of machining, manufacturing, or CNC experience preferred
• CNC mill setup experience required
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) preferred
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift and move materials as needed
• Frequent use of hands for machine setup, operation, and inspections
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
