Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an experienced Skilled Paving Laborer to join a reputable local paving contractor in the Rogue Valley. We are looking for someone who understands asphalt paving operations, works well as part of a crew, and can contribute from day one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of asphalt paving operations.
• Work alongside the paving crew during paving spreads.
• Rake and spread asphalt to achieve proper grade and finish.
• Support screed and paving machine operations.
• Perform hand work around edges, driveways, utilities, and other areas inaccessible to equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and job site requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on an asphalt paving crew is required.
• Must understand the flow and responsibilities of a paving spread.
• Experience operating a roller is a strong plus.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Able to work well with a team while following direction from supervisors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
• Competitive pay based on experience.
