CNC Machinist II

Location: Camas, WA
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II to join our manufacturing team in Camas, WA. This position is responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC equipment, producing quality parts to specification, troubleshooting machining issues, and supporting less experienced machinists.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, lathes, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Make minor G-code and M-code edits, offsets, and tooling adjustments.
• Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues independently.
• Optimize machine settings, speeds, and feeds for quality and efficiency.
• Mentor and assist entry-level machinists.
• Follow safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience required.
• 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC machine setup and operation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Ability to make minor program modifications and machine adjustments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a post-offer background check.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and machine shop environment.
• Must wear required PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand and work in various positions for extended periods, including shifts up to 12 hours.
