Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment including chippers, stump grinders, bucket trucks, grapple trucks, excavators, skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, refuse trucks, pavers, rollers, and concrete mixers

• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and scheduled service intervals

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, and suspension components

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems on attachments such as grapples, booms, and lifts

• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed

• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all vehicles meet federal and state safety and compliance standards

• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts inventory documentation

• Respond to roadside or field breakdowns as needed

• Order parts and coordinate with vendors and outside repair shops when specialized work is required

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
