Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Frewsburg, NY client. Our client is looking for a Construction Lead. The Construction Lead is responsible for overseeing daily residential and light commercial construction projects while working alongside crew members to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and on-time project completion. This position coordinates job site activities, assigns tasks, monitors project progress, and serves as the primary point of contact between the crew, subcontractors, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise construction crews on residential remodeling, renovation, and new construction projects.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Perform hands-on construction duties including framing, drywall, flooring, finish carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure all work meets company and customer expectations.
  • Train and mentor team members in proper construction techniques and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate project updates, material needs, and job site issues to management.
  • Assist with material ordering, project planning, and job site logistics.

Qualifications

  • Previous construction and remodeling experience required.
  • Leadership or crew supervision experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: 40+ hours a week
  • Industry: Residential Construction & Building Maintenance
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Pay is 30+/hr based on experience.
