Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to participate as Mock Trail Participants in our simulated legal proceedings. This role offers an engaging opportunity to gain insight into the judicial process, develop public speaking skills, and contribute to educational and training programs. Ideal candidates are interested in law, public policy, or community engagement and enjoy collaborative environments. All participants will be compensated for their involvement.
Duties
- Act as a mock defendant, plaintiff, witness, or juror during simulated court proceedings
- Follow scripted scenarios and instructions provided by event coordinators
- Provide constructive feedback on the trial process and presentation
- Engage in pre-trial briefings and post-trial debriefings to enhance understanding of legal procedures
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality throughout the simulation
- Assist with setup and breakdown of trial materials and equipment as needed
Qualifications
- The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or a similar qualification, such as an associate's degree.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow directions clearly
- Ability to participate actively in role-playing scenarios with professionalism
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging with diverse audiences
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled sessions
- Prior experience is not necessary; training will be provided to ensure participants understand their roles effectively
