General Laborer / Carpentry Assistant

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Sarasota, FL

About the Role

We are seeking a General Laborer / Carpentry Assistant to support custom cabinetry fabrication, installation, and general shop operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, learning new skills, and contributing to a variety of projects in both a shop and job-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with custom cabinetry fabrication and on-site installations
• Support shop operations including assembly, sanding, prep work, and material handling
• Safely use hand and power tools, including saws, planers, and other woodworking equipment
• Load, unload, and move materials in the shop and on job sites
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and job sites
• Assist with trim, molding, or door casing installation under supervision
• Support light interior project tasks, such as hanging fixtures or minor installations

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in carpentry, construction, or a trade-related environment preferred
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift materials and perform physical work throughout the day
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to take direction and learn new skills
• Valid driver's license preferred
