Welder

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $30/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking a Welder to join their team.

Welder Highlights:

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on structural steel and fabricated components.
• Complete fit-up and welding of pre-assembled steel joists, angle iron joists, and fabricated assemblies.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Set up welding equipment according to CWB and company specifications.
• Operate cutting torches, plasma torches, and overhead cranes safely.
• Record and track materials used throughout production.
• Monitor project timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Perform additional fabrication and welding duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Welder or Apprentice Welder.
• CWB GMAW certification or the ability to successfully pass the on-site CWB GMAW certification test.
• Experience with hard wire MIG welding.
• Previous production welding experience on structural steel.
• Experience working in both shop and field environments is an asset.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, cutting torches, and plasma torches is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in the steel or manufacturing industry is considered an asset.

Hours & Wage:

• Afternoon Shift
• Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
• $30.00/hour, depending on experience
