Concrete Finisher

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM Start Time (Overtime & Weekends as Needed)

A leading manufacturer of prefabricated building systems, specializing in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters, is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on concrete experience and the ability to produce quality finishes while maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Finish and smooth concrete surfaces using various hand tools and equipment
• Grade concrete and ensure proper leveling and finishing according to specifications
• Work with concrete and aggregate materials throughout the production process
• Monitor curing conditions and adjust work practices based on weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wind
• Apply specified finishes based on building plans and project requirements
• Operate tools and equipment after proper training, including forklifts, lifts, and other plant equipment
• Assist with cleanup and housekeeping tasks after concrete pours and production activities
• Support other departments and production areas when concrete work is not actively being performed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 2 years of concrete finishing experience
• Knowledge of concrete tools and finishing techniques
• Experience with:
  • Grading concrete
  • Running a concrete vibrator (preferred)
  • Reading basic blueprints
  • Construction math
  • Hand and power tools
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• Ability to work in a physically demanding construction/manufacturing environment
• Must be able to:
  • Work on knees for extended periods
  • Bend, stoop, and perform repetitive movements
  • Lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
• Ability to stay until concrete work is completed properly (end times may vary)

Physical Requirements:

• Must wear required PPE, including steel-toe or EH composite-toe shoes
• Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment
• Must be able to perform labor-intensive tasks related to concrete production and finishing
