Shipping/Receiving Associate

Location: Vancouver, WA Pay: $19.50/hour Job Type: Full-Time

 

About the Opportunity

 

Our client is building out a brand-new warehouse facility in Vancouver, WA, and we're looking for a reliable Shipping/Receiving Associate to help us grow our team from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a facility launch and grow with the team as they scale operations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and adhere to daily Inbound/Outbound shipment schedules
• Accept inbound shipments and prepare outbound shipments
  • Receiving, offloading, stacking, and stocking
  • Pulling, packing, and loading
• Read packing lists containing item details to ensure the accurate receiving/shipping of goods
• Verify shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Identify and resolve issues as goods arrive, escalating issues as necessary to appropriate personnel
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other industrial equipment for loading, unloading, and moving products
• Ensure a safe process of preparing docks, loading and unloading trailers, and moving product within the facility
• Ensure organization and assist with cleaning and maintaining a safe workplace environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Must possess a valid forklift certification
• Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is an asset
• Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset and a demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
• Reliable attendance and consistent work performance
• Working knowledge of waybills, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and other shipping documentation
