St Gabriel, LA

Pay: $20.00 - $37.00/hour (DOE)
Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime Available

We're looking for an experienced Fitter to join a growing fabrication team building shell and tube heat exchangers. If you have strong blueprint reading skills and experience fitting and preparing metal components for welding, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

✔ Read and interpret fabrication drawings
✔ Measure, lay out, and fit metal components
✔ Use oxy/acetylene torch, plasma cutter, arc gouging, and grinders
✔ Prepare weld bevels and fit-up assemblies
✔ Perform quality checks using measuring tools
✔ Assist with crane operations and material handling
✔ Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What We're Looking For:

✔ Experience with fitting and metal fabrication
✔ Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld procedures
✔ Knowledge of welding processes (SMAW & GTAW)
✔ Heat exchanger fabrication experience preferred
✔ Ability to pass an ASME welding test
✔ Strong math skills including basic algebra and geometry

Required Tools:

🧰 Welding hood, gloves, tape measure, square & center head, level, center punch, dividers, hammer, and toolbox.
