Salary: $24/hour
Shift: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
This position is for someone who wants to work, isn’t afraid of physical tasks, and is serious about learning the fabrication trade. As a Shop Helper / Fabrication Assistant, you’ll support welders and production staff by keeping material flowing, the shop organized, and jobs moving. This is a hands-on role with a clear path to becoming a welder or fabricator for the right person.
Load and unload trucks
Move, stage, and organize materials around the shop floor and yard
Read and identify part numbers, tags, and components
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training/certification provided if needed)
Stage and supply parts to welders to keep production moving
Assist with job setup, part prep, cleanup, and daily production support
Use hand and power tools including grinders, drills, impacts, and saws
Prep steel by cleaning, grinding, cutting, or tacking
Paint steel structures and cranes (must be willing and able to learn)
Assist with crane assembly and quality checks on finished products
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop while supporting 5S / 6S standards
Welders always have the parts and materials they need
The shop stays organized, safe, and production-ready
Materials are prepped correctly and on time
You consistently show up ready to work and learn
Strong safety-first mindset
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Impeccable tape measure reading skills (required)
Strong work ethic — willing to cut, grind, prep, and feed parts all day
Comfortable with physical work in an industrial environment
Takes direction well and works as part of a team
Motivated to grow into a welder or fabricator
