Fleet & Equipment Mechanic

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Schedule: 730a- 430p Monday - Friday, with weekend or evenings as needed.

 

A well-established local employer is seeking a skilled Fleet & Equipment Mechanic to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting a variety of mechanical issues and working independently in a well-equipped shop environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other system-related issues.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service, repair, and inspection records.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment remain in safe operating condition.
• Communicate maintenance recommendations and equipment status as needed.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanic servicing fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or related machinery.
• Strong understanding of automotive, diesel, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently.
• Experience using diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage priorities and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must provide and maintain personal mechanic tools.
