Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Falconer, NY client. Our client is looking for a 1st shift Welding Supervisor.
This position would lead our day shift welding operations. This role is responsible for overseeing welders and production activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and meets quality and customer standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and support welders and welding helpers.
- Assign daily work and monitor productivity.
- Ensure compliance with welding procedures, drawings, and quality standards.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Conduct weld inspections and address quality issues.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules.
- Maintain welding records, certifications, and documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance and arrange repairs as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Strong welding and fabrication experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of AWS, ASME, API, or other welding codes preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Welding certifications preferred.
Hours are flexible on 1st shift and pay is between $60,000-$70,000/year.
