Job Summary

We are currently hiring an experienced Sewing Machine Operator to join a fast-paced apparel manufacturing team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial sewing machines and producing high-quality garments while meeting production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, double-needle, overlock (serger), coverstitch, and other garment production equipment.
• Sew various types of knit and woven garments according to production specifications and quality standards.
• Read and follow production orders, sewing instructions, and garment specifications.
• Inspect garments throughout the sewing process to ensure quality and consistency.
• Perform minor machine adjustments, including thread changes and tension adjustments.
• Identify and report fabric defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in a garment or apparel manufacturing environment.
• Experience sewing T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, activewear, or similar apparel is considered an asset.
• Ability to operate one or more industrial sewing machines such as single-needle, overlock, coverstitch, or flatlock machines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs when required.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Day Shift
• Overtime may be available during peak production periods.
