Salary: up to $28.00/HR

Hours:  Monday - Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm

Pay: up to $28.00/HR

Duties:

  • Design and develop 3D models of utility truck assemblies according to customer requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Create accurate and detailed technical drawings, including proper dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
  • Manage design schedules and priorities to ensure project milestones and customer deadlines are met.
  • Update and maintain part numbering and naming conventions in support of ERP system implementation and data standardization efforts.
  • Review and revise existing drawings, models, and documentation for accuracy and consistency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving manufacturability, and increasing installation efficiency.
  • Assist with special design, modeling, and drafting projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to resolve design questions and support project requirements.
  • Utilize measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure design accuracy.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and support product data management activities.
  • Follow company quality standards, engineering procedures, and safety requirements.

Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Two (2) or more years of mechanical design, drafting, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing creation.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Sage 100, and Adobe applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in small group and team environments.
  • Experience with engineering change management, part numbering systems, and ERP environments is a plus.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
