We're hiring a Trash Truck Driver Assistant for a growing commercial waste and recycling company. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to becoming a Trash Truck Driver after successfully completing the training program and evaluation period.

Our client specializes in commercial waste collection, recycling services, e-waste recycling, and specialty waste removal projects for businesses throughout the area. They are a small, team-oriented operation where everyone pitches in to get the job done. What You'll Do

• Ride alongside an experienced truck driver on daily service routes.
• Get in and out of the truck frequently throughout the day.
• Roll commercial trash and recycling containers to the truck's automated lifting system.
• Work safely around hydraulic lifting equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
• Assist with warehouse operations when routes are complete or additional help is needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Able to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in sanitation, waste management, construction, or landscaping is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Push and pull wheeled trash and recycling containers.
• Repeatedly enter and exit the truck throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
