Team Lead - Customer Shipping (2nd shift)

Located in Janesville, WI

Salary: $23+/hour

We are seeking candidates for a 2nd shift Shipping Team Lead with our client, a distribution company in Janesville.

This is a fast-paced role leading a team in the Customer Shipping department. The position requires someone who is very organized, comfortable working in multiple computer systems, and able to manage shifting priorities throughout the day.

 

*The role is not fully desk-based, as the individual will also be moving around the warehouse frequently to communicate with the team and support daily shipping operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the hands-on floor leader and primary point of contact for employees in the Customer Shipping department.
• Support and oversee daily shipping operations in partnership with the Supervisor.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, regularly assisting team members, checking in carriers/drivers, assigning work, and resolving operational issues as they arise.
• Provide leadership, direction, and real-time support to ensure the department operates efficiently.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience required

- Good computer skills - experience with Microsoft office and data entry.  Inventory system experience preferred.

- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Comfortable working with data and reporting

 

Schedule: Full - time

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Must be willing to work Saturdays as needed.

Pay: $22/hour base pay, plus $1.50 shift premium
