Position Summary
The Office Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to help maintain efficient daily office operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach when interacting with employees, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, answering phones, word processing, and distributing mail.
- Enter, retrieve, and verify information within company systems.
- Prepare routine correspondence and generate standard reports.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail according to department procedures.
- Assist customers at the beginning of the appeals process and coordinate with internal departments as needed.
- Distribute COBRA notifications, billing reports, delinquency notices, and other department communications.
- Order office supplies for assigned departments.
- Provide receptionist coverage during breaks, vacations, and other absences.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of general office or administrative experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Associate degree and 2-4 years of professional office experience.
