Shift: New Afternoon Shift | 4:00 PM to 12:20 AM
Pay Rate: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced CNC Supervisor to help launch and build out a brand-new afternoon shift within a growing custom aluminum manufacturing facility specializing in precision-engineered aluminum products for commercial and industrial applications.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced CNC professional who enjoys both machining and team development. During the initial months, you will work directly with a small CNC team, operating machinery, supporting production, troubleshooting challenges, and helping establish processes as the second shift grows.
The ideal candidate is a skilled CNC machinist with leadership experience who is comfortable being actively involved on the shop floor while building a successful production team.
Key Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, including setup, operation, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Mandatory experience operating both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery.
• Mandatory experience using Mastercam and/or CNC macros programming.
• Experience with Centre Mill machining is a significant asset.
• Previous experience as a CNC Lead Hand, Supervisor, or team lead within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling, machine setup, and process optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment while supporting a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the launch and growth of a new afternoon CNC shift.
• Operate CNC machinery alongside the team during the initial build-out phase.
• Complete CNC machine setup, programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting as required.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to CNC operators.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members as the shift expands.
• Coordinate daily production priorities to support quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
• Monitor machine performance, workflow, and production output.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure production accuracy.
• Perform quality checks and ensure finished products meet required standards.
• Maintain production records and communicate shift updates, challenges, and results to management.
• Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working Conditions
• Brand-new afternoon shift requiring a hands-on and flexible approach.
• Must be comfortable working directly with a small team while the department grows.
• Regular standing, walking, and operation of CNC machinery required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
