Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a well-established company in the construction industry.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in managing the accounts receivable process, customer billing, collections, and account reconciliations while ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable using an ERP system.
• Process cash applications and perform account reconciliations.
• Conduct collection calls and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Complete credit reference checks and set up new customer accounts.
• Review, approve, and distribute invoices and customer statements.
• Assist with customer billing and invoicing.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer concerns.
• Prepare weekly and monthly Accounts Receivable reports.
• Administer Moneris, DNB, and Equifax accounts.
• Ensure company credit policies and procedures are followed.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable, credit, and collections experience.
• Experience with full-cycle Accounts Receivable processes.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of credit and collection procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and confident when resolving customer issues.
• Proven ability to build strong business relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Great Plains ERP is considered an asset.
• Previous construction industry experience is strongly preferred.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Compensation & Benefits

• $52,000-$70,000 per year, based on experience.
