Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and organize fresh produce within the warehouse. This role ensures products are handled carefully to maintain quality, food safety standards, and inventory accuracy while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, electric, or pallet jack forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload produce from trucks while inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies.
• Transport pallets of fresh fruits and vegetables to designated storage, staging, or shipping areas.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to maintain product freshness.
• Stack pallets securely while preventing damage to produce.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate inventory by scanning products and completing required documentation.
• Assist with order picking, palletizing, wrapping, and staging customer orders.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation procedures).
• Work in refrigerated environments while maintaining productivity and safety.
