We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will operate, set up, and program CNC lathe machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering specifications. This role is vital to ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. Pay Rate: $25/hour -$32/hour ( based on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up CNC lathe machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to produce accurate parts
  • Program CNC lathes using Fanuc controls and other relevant software to meet production specifications
  • Conduct routine inspections of machined components using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools
  • Perform basic maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing processes
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
  • Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, adjustments, and quality checks
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications using SolidWorks or CAD software
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc controls
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar design tools
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements
  • Experience with machining tools including calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, welding, and lean principles
  • Valid forklift certification is a plus for material handling tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills
