Environmental, Health, and Safety Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor to lead and oversee environmental, health, and safety programs within a manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting environmental initiatives, and partnering with leadership to promote continuous improvement across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with experience in industrial safety, environmental compliance, and team development.

Responsibilities

Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership

  • Lead and manage environmental, health, and safety programs throughout the facility.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through leadership, training, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain environmental compliance programs and required documentation.
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting and support environmental initiatives.

Training & Compliance

  • Develop and deliver safety and environmental training programs.
  • Ensure employees receive required regulatory and compliance training.
  • Monitor safety performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits.

Leadership & Operations

  • Supervise and mentor environmental, health, and safety personnel.
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
  • Oversee contractor safety programs and facility security processes.
  • Assist with emergency response planning and preparedness.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of environmental, health, or safety experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • First Responder or EMT certification.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment operations.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, investigations, and compliance reporting.
