General Laborer - Metal Finishing

Location: Ashland, VA
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule:

• Training: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (First Week)
• Regular Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Second Shift)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable General Laborer to join a manufacturing team in Ashland, VA. This position involves grinding, smoothing, and finishing metal products to meet quality standards. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment and using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Grind, smooth, and finish metal surfaces
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other general production duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or general labor experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and transportation
• Willingness to train on first shift before transitioning to second shift
