Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Fabrication Welder for a growing manufacturing company in Virginia Beach. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality work and enjoys fabricating custom products rather than repetitive production welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components
• Fabricate and assemble custom metal products
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Cut, grind, shape, and finish metal components
• Inspect completed welds for strength, quality, and appearance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience required
• Metal fabrication experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders
• Experience using grinders and metal finishing tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and strong communication skills

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply:

• Custom metal fabrication
• Structural welding
• Sign manufacturing
• Architectural metal work
• Heavy fabrication
• Cosmetic or finish-quality welding

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Typical hours are 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (hours may vary slightly)
• Regular overtime opportunities available, including Saturdays for those interested in additional hours

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the shift
• Work safely in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and metal fumes
• Wear steel-toe boots and required personal protective equipment
