PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR/FOREMAN

Located in Lackawanna, NY

Salary: $25-$30 pr hour

Express Employment of West Seneca has partnered with a logistics company in the West Seneca area to fill an immediate need for a full-time Production Supervisor/Foreman position. This is your opportunity to get your foot in the door with a great company that values their employees!

Monday– Friday  6am-2:30pm

 

Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor/Foreman Position include:

Ensure the manufacturing process remains smooth and efficient by organizing workflows and monitoring staff.

• • Supervise, train, and assist lower-level manufacturing and production workers.
  • Empower plant associates by building strong teams committed to manufacturing a superior product.
  • Ensures regulations & operating practices are met to keep the facility accident free. Responsible for promoting a safe culture and awareness within their area of responsibility.
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals.
  • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
  • Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.
  • Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team.
  • Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff.
  • Provide first line supervision, direction, and coordination of activities.
  • Supervise plant operation by analyzing, evaluating and determining equipment usage, directing plant start-up and shut-down.
  • Manages and/or conducts scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance to designated equipment.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements for the Production Supervisor/Foreman Position include::

• Direct experience in a manufacturing plant and at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a relevant industry is a plus.
• Experience in trade skills such as concrete construction, plumbing & electrical helpful.
• Must also have excellent management & communication skills.
• Be responsible, proactive, reliable, and lead by example.
• Have excellent organization, leadership, interpersonal and team working skills.
• Able to coordinate and motivate multi-talented production employees in a factory.
• Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
