Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Groundskeeper for an opportunity with a respected utility organization. If you enjoy landscaping, irrigation, facility maintenance, and working in nature, this could be the perfect fit.

• Pay: $18.94/hour
• Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

What You'll Do

As a Groundskeeper, you'll help maintain parks, recreation sites, and public access areas while providing excellent customer service to visitors. This is a hands-on position that combines landscape maintenance, facility upkeep, and outdoor recreation support.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Maintain landscaped areas, native plants, and turf.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems.
• Perform weed control, tree pruning, and general grounds maintenance.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms, buildings, and recreation facilities.
• Remove trash and help keep parks clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Assist visitors by answering questions, enforcing park policies, and resolving concerns.
• Assist with park reservations and fee collection.
• Operate equipment including mowers, Kubota UTVs, and golf carts.
• Record irrigation, weather, visitor, and maintenance data.
• Work safely while supporting the overall maintenance of public recreation areas.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or agriculture preferred.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, including pressurized and flood irrigation.
• Experience operating lawn maintenance or landscaping equipment.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, or carpentry skills are a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
• Frequently walk, bend, kneel, lift, and perform physical labor.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures.
