Express Employment of West Seneca has partnered with a company in the West Seneca area to fill an immediate need for a full -time Welder's Assistant. This is your opportunity to get your foot in the door with a great company that values their employees!

 

Starting pay is $20

Full time, 

Monday – Thursday

1^st shift 7am-5:30pm

 

Responsibilities for the Welder's Assistant Position include:

• Assist welders with setting up equipment and preparing materials for welding projects.
• Measure, cut, grind, clean, and fit metal components as directed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other shop equipment safely.
• Load, unload, and move materials using appropriate equipment or manual handling techniques.
• Clean welds and remove slag, rust, or excess material after welding.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read basic drawings or work instructions and assist with material layout.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the lead welder or supervisor.

Requirements for the Welder's Assistant Position include:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or welding environment is an asset but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
