Maintenance Equipment Technician

Location: Manor and North Austin

Pay: Starting at $23.00/hour, with additional compensation opportunities based on shift differential and relevant experience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Equipment Technician to support the safety, reliability, and performance of production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving equipment to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. 

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and machinery. 
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. 
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment components. 
• Inspect equipment for wear, defects, and operational issues. 
• Test machinery and analyze performance to identify root causes of equipment failures. 
• Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including forklifts and other production machinery.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance. 
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and parts inventory documentation. 
• Order and track replacement parts as needed. 
• Promote a safe work environment by identifying and reporting equipment concerns and unsafe conditions. 
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
• 1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, or equipment repair experience preferred. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a manufacturing environment. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
