2nd & 3rd Shift Maintenance Lead
Located in Columbus, IN
Salary: Up to $38/hr
Company Information: A company in Columbus, Indiana is hiring 2nd and 3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance Lead to their team! This is a direct hire opportunity!
The Lead Maintenance Technician will:
- Lead maintenance activities for industrial machinery and equipment on assigned shift
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Serve as a technical resource for maintenance technicians and production personnel
- Prioritize maintenance work orders and support efficient completion of repairs
- Diagnose complex equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability
- Install, replace, and align motors, drives, bearings, conveyors, and other production equipment
- Utilize volt meters, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and equipment performance
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment concerns to management

Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday / 2PM-10:30PM
- 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday / 10:30PM-6AM
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of lead or supervisor experience
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
- Working knowledge of 480V three-phase electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits
- Experience utilizing volt meters and other diagnostic testing equipment
- Proven ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and provide technical guidance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound maintenance decisions independently
- Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
