Express Employment Professionals of Baton Rouge is partnering with a commercial electrical contractor seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join their team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled electrician who can work independently, lead installations, mentor team members, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all electrical codes.

Pay: Competitive, Based on Experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Primary Duties

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial electrical systems
• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Lead electrical installations independently
• Coordinate work with project teams and other trades
• Mentor apprentices and electrical helpers
• Ensure all work meets NEC standards and project specifications
• Maintain a safe and organized job site
• Support foremen with daily operations and project completion

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial electrical experience
• Journeyman Electrician certification preferred
• Healthcare construction experience preferred
• Experience leading electrical crews
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
• Commitment to safe work practices
