Tool and Die Maker
Located in Wallaceburg, ON
Salary: $20.00/Hour
Our client located in Wallaceburg, ON is looking for a motivated Tool and Die Maker to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you'll build, repair, and maintain precision tooling used in the production of manufactured products. You'll work with a variety of conventional and CNC equipment while ensuring all tooling meets quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM models
- Build, modify, repair, and maintain custom tools, molds, jigs, fixtures, and stamping dies
- Set up and operate conventional machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, drills, and EDM machines
- Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision components
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform repairs to minimize production downtime
- Safely move and handle heavy tooling using overhead cranes and other lifting equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar machining role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience operating conventional machining equipment and CNC machinery
- Familiarity with wire and sinker EDM equipment is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to safely handle heavy tooling using appropriate lifting equipment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Wage: $20.00/Hour
