Salary: $26-$28 per hour

We are currently hiring for MAchine Operator assistants.  These are long term, Temp to Permanent 3RD SHIFT positions. Hours are 11pm-7am monday thru Friday and there will be OT as needed (required NOT optional)

Must haves:

• Prior experience as a machine operator or working with a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or product production environment 
• Ability to accurately read and measure tape measures and scales
• Ability to do simple math
• Previous experience working within a quality environment
• Electric pallet jack exp. a plus but not required
• Working well in a team environment, open to learning, feedback and direction
• Your own Steel tip workshoes

What you will be doing:

• Bringing jumbo rolls of paper from the warehouse, using a forklift, removing packaging materials and loading roll into machine.
• Hoist to remove individual rolls.
• Setting slitter knives into place to convert the large roll into smaller ribbons.
• Utilize machine controls related to speed and brake pressure on the unwind stand to convert material with optimum efficiency while minimizing scrap.
• Move completed ribbons to inventory or set up in manufacturing area on roll stands using fork lift.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
