Our client is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join their team in Hamilton. What You'll Be Doing

As an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of production equipment. Responsibilities include:

• Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Performing preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment issues.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
• Completing emergency breakdown repairs quickly and safely.
• Participating in equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Completing work orders and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazard identification, and emergency response protocols.
• Ensuring all repairs meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to improve operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Licence.
• General Machinist certification with significant industrial maintenance experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience maintaining heavy industrial production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
• Computer skills for maintenance management systems and documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.

Schedule

• Rotating Day and Night shifts
• 10 to 12-hour shifts
• Approximately 44-48 hours per week
• Overtime opportunities available
